What we plotted, and what we refused to.

These plates were researched on 12 August 2026 from company blogs, earnings, founder posts, and tier-one press. We preferred a smaller official series over a prettier unofficial one.

Run-rate is not revenue. Anthropic, Cursor, and Lovable mostly publish last-month × 12. OpenAI’s $20B+ is company ARR; booked 2025 revenue was about $13 billion.

WAU is not MAU. OpenAI reports weekly active users (last official: 900M+, February 2026). The “1 billion ChatGPT users” print is Sensor Tower app MAU. Gemini’s 1 billion is first-party app MAU.

We left some famous numbers off. Anthropic has not reported $50B. ChatGPT has not reported 1B weekly users. The circulating “enterprise AI budget $1.2M → $7M / 73% over budget” claim is not in the FinOps Foundation 2026 report. SpaceX’s $300–500B AI revenue is Elon Musk scenario math, not a booking.
